Archive for graduation gifts

Our GM at our company has a daughter who is graduating high school this weekend and we want to give her a gift. Our budget is $75. She is going away to college this fall. Any hip ideas on what to get her?

I could think any hip ideas. I would suggest give her something that is useful and will last forever. I suggest a handcrafted wooden jewelry box. I’m sure girls have lot of jewelries and small stuffs to keep in safe. I got one a MarqArt jewelry box for my girl bestfriend and she said it was awesome, very classy. Check out the MarqART collection, they have some incredible stuff.

I’m graduating from high school this Friday, and I’m not having a graduation party or anything to "celebrate". I know there will inevitably be people who give me greeting cards with money in them. I can always burn all the checks, since no money will actually be lost (just stays in the account of the check writer).

My question is, how can I gracefully refuse to accept cash or other gifts from people? I don’t feel that I deserve anything.
Doctor? What doctor? I haven’t seen a doctor since I started having periods.

Well since you say "I don’t feel that I deserve anything." I have to assume that something is bothering you, possibly making you feel guilty. I say graciously accept the gifts (checks and cash) and then donate the money to a charity.

I have to write thank-you notes for graduation presents but I just don’t know what to say and a lot of people gave me money.

Dear (name),

Thank you so much for your generous check. The money will be so helpful as I plan to put it towards a new laptop for college. I appreciate your support and was so glad you were able to attend my graduation party. Hope to see you again soon.

Sincerely,

(Your name)
